Being in the Great State of Florida(it says so on the seal!) I always imagine/hope I have one thing in common with Israelis. I have my box that I nickname “end of the world Kit”. Hurricanes, or Iran gets a long range missile, I’m almost ready. 2 years worth of batteries, check. One metric ton of flashlights, check. Jugs of gasoline for the generators, if I can find gas that is, check…
I am envious that I do not have a bomb proof inner-room. I imagine they’re great for tornado’s. And everything else.
You won’t hear anyone else wish they had that, but down here how could you not? And if you were living in a higher crime area, forgetaboutit.
Imagine that! Or maybe I’m neurotic. But they can make fun outside my future concrete panic room :)

Be safe, watch out for the mad max gas lines.

What’s wrong with the second method? Looks like you’re all set if there’s flooding, as you’ve already got yourself a flotation device. Taping your mouth shut is a protective measure designed to make you more buoyant.

Seems to me you should be saying thank you… :-)

Looks to me like it’s time to get back to Israel where it’s safe.
    :-)
I applaud your doing anything in the name of comedy (clapping hands), but after you took the duct tape off your mouth, did you say to yourself, “Self, that was a lot of fun. I’ll be doing that again.” Or did it just hurt like hell?

    Good luck, Texas

I forgot about boarding up. I loved hurricanes because we got to stay hone from school watching reruns, until the elecricity went out.
And then we stayed home to watch reruns because the school had flooded and they needed to get the water out.
You kow, you can really fly taped to a piece of plywood like that if you stand outside in the wind like that. I once saw someone holding on to a piece of plywood, in a hurricane and he flew some 50 meters with it.

Oh! Thanks for reminding me of my childhood in Texas memories.

    Oh.
I thought “Good Boarding” was “Good Morning” with a stuffed nose. Was about to wish you a “Refuah Sheleima”.

Just imagine what you would have looked like the the gulf wars when we had to seal up entire rooms…

We haven’t gotten an update post-Ike. There was flooding and some power loss in Houston, I heard. Did you get captured by Hizbullah or just washed away?

Danny – you didn’t see the picture? Benji’s still taped to the board…

    :D

Benji, I read about you guys in the paper the other day (note-I NEVER read the newspaper) and I felt all proud that I had a live rep over there. Err a dead representative wouldn’t be too helpful, eh?

General ‘thank you’ for your blog, btw.
